Introducing our latest advanced workshop: Mixng and Marbling ckay!
Are you ready to take your pottery skills to the next level? Join us for an exciting 2.5-hour session where we will explore the mesmerising art of marbling clay on the wheel. This workshop is designed for those who have prior experience in pottery and can confidently center clay.
During the workshop, you’ll delve into the captivating world of marbling, a technique that allows you to create stunning and intricate patterns on your pottery pieces. Our experienced instructor will guide you through various marbling techniques, providing you with valuable insights and tips to enhance your craftsmanship.
Here’s what you can expect to learn and experience during the workshop:
-Understanding different types of marbling patterns and effects.
-Proper preparation of clay for marbling to achieve the best results.
-Hands-on practice with the marbling process on the potter’s wheel.
-Experimenting with different color combinations and textures for unique designs.
-Troubleshooting common challenges and mastering precision in your work.
-Small class sizes! With a maximum of four students per class, you can expect exceptional personalised instruction and guidance.
Please note that this is an advanced class, and participants should already have a solid foundation in pottery, including the ability to center clay confidently. If you’re not sure about your skill level, feel free to contact us, and we’ll be happy to assist you in finding the right class.

Your 2 favourite pieces from the workshop will be finished, glazed and ready for collection around 4 weeks after the class. Shipping can be arranged at your expense, generally around $15.00.

Location: EBC studio – Geelong West – 1 Britannia Street, Geelong West
- Please choose the time and date carefully. These classes are transferable to another person but we do not offer refunds or rescheduling.
- Please DO NOT come to the class if you are unwell – you will be asked to leave if you are sick and no refund will be issued.
- This class is only available for adults and children of 14 years or older. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- A minimum of 4 students is required for this class to go ahead. You will be contacted if the class cannot go ahead.
- Wear clothes that you don’t mind if they get a little messy – please bring an apron or towel and don’t forget to wear closed-toe shoes!
- Long nails can very easily damage your work and make it difficult to create!
- Your beautiful handmade items will be ready for collection around 4 weeks after the class. If you cannot collect, we can arrange to ship for $15.00.
- Your pots will be held for 1 month after you have been notified for collection. If you cannot collect and opt to not have the items shipped at your expense, the items will be donated to charity.
- Finished pots will be glazed in our small range of house glazes. You will be able to select from this range at the end of your class.
- Please arrive on time (or let me know if you will be early/late!). Late arrivals will forfeit will that portion of their class.
- Please also wear weather-appropriate clothing however I do have heaters and cooling available if required.
- We do take photographs during some of our workshops and these photographs may be shared as content on our website and social media platforms. If you do not wish to have your photograph taken and shared please let us know in advance before the workshop begins.
