Elizabeth Bell Ceramics is located within the historic Fyansford Paper Mills precinct in Fyansford, Victoria. We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment and aim to provide clear, practical information to help you plan your visit with confidence.

Parking

  • On-site car parking is available throughout the precinct.
  • Designated accessible parking spaces are located approximately 20–30 metres from the studio entrance.
  • Parking surfaces include compacted gravel and bitumen.

Pathways and Ground Surface

  • The pathway from the accessible parking areas to the studio entrance is mostly flat, with surfaces consisting of compacted gravel and concrete. There are some cobblestones infront of the Gallery which could be difficult to navigate.
  • There are no steep gradients along this route.

Entry

  • The studio entrance is at ground level.
  • There is a small threshold lip at the doorway (approximately 2 cm high).
  • The entry door width is approximately 1500 mm when fully open.

Internal Layout

The studio operates across two levels.

  • The studio shop is located on the ground level and can be accessed without steps.
  • The teaching studio is located on the lower ground level.
  • Flooring consists of timber floorboards and sealed concrete.
  • Walkways between tables and pottery wheels downstairs are approximately 900 mm wide.
  • Furniture layouts can be adjusted where possible to accommodate mobility aids — please let us know in advance.

Stairs

Access to the teaching studio requires descending 19 steps.

Toilets

  • Toilets are located within the Fyansford Paper Mills complex, approximately 40–60 metres from the studio.
  • Standard cubicles are available, along with an accessible toilet within the precinct.
  • The accessible toilet door width is approximately 900 mm.

Seating and Classes

  • Seating includes standard pottery stools at the wheels and bar-height stools at the teaching table.
  • If you require alternative seating, we are happy to arrange this prior to your visit.

Group Classes

For groups with accessibility requirements, hand-building classes can be arranged in the function rooms at Provenance Wines within the precinct. These spaces are step-free and offer excellent accessibility. We require a minimum of 6 participants for a group booking.
