Our group classes are designed with the beginner potter in mind and are perfect for hens days! You’ll be shown how to create several different pieces in a fun and relaxed atmosphere that is sure to bring out everyone’s creative side. With a professional potter at your side teaching you the proper techniques, there’s no better way to get started!

Inclusions:

• 90-minute class duration
• Minimum of 6 students and a maximum of 30.
• Tuition by one of our EBC teachers
• All tools, boards, and materials required for the class
• Each student is to choose two pieces at the end of each class to be processed (fired and glazed)

Venue

At Elizabeth Bell Ceramic’s studio at the historic Fyansford Paper Mills we can accomodate groups of 4- 10 people at no additional venue hire charge. Food or alcohol is welcomed if you would like to BYO to EBC, please check first that what you are wanting to bring is appropriate to consume around clay. Water and soft drink provided.

Provenance Wines

Wine & Design : Make a day of it with EBC x Provenance Wines. Our neighbours at the Fyansford Paper Mills, Provenance is an award-winning local winery, pouring beautiful wines from their heritage venue next door. Pair your pottery class with a glass of something special, then settle in for a multiple-course lunch or relaxed grazing experience. Clay, wine, good food and good company, all in one beautiful heritage setting. Venue hire: $20pp, minimum 12 pax.

Anther Distillery

Clay & Cocktails: Pair pottery with cocktails at Anther Distillery in North Geelong. Get creative with clay, then settle in with a drinks package from our friends at Anther. A relaxed group experience combining making, cocktails and a little creative fun. Drinks packages start from $35pp. No Venue hire fee, minimum 12 pax.

Providing your own venue?

We are more than happy to come to a venue of your choice! We have been to many homes, wineries, breweries, and galleries in the region.

If you are providing your own venue we require the following;

• Chairs/ seating, one per student
• Tables, allow 80cm of space per student
• Access to water
• Direct access and parking for unloading equipment
• Access to the venue 30 minutes before the class starts for set-up
• Pottery by nature is messy, we don’t recommend classes to take place on carpet, we suggest a surface that can be mopped easily

Investment

$95 per person incl GST 50% non-refundable deposit of total expected group cost required to confirm the booking. Final student numbers are to be confirmed and the invoice is to be paid 7 days before the class. Travel if required is not included and is to be quoted on a case-by-case basis.
