Kiln Firing Service
Thanks for your interest in our firing service. This is a service offered to ceramic artists (aspiring is okay too!) however this is not a service where we will offer technical support for techniques such as glazing. We no longer offer firing for kits such as Crockd. Sorry – no schools/community groups.
Our kilns are located in Fyansford.

DAMAGE
- If kiln shelves are damaged (due to overflowing glaze or glaze on the bottoms of your items) you will be charged a cleaning fee of $50 per damaged shelf.
- If your work ruins a kiln shelf, you will be charged for the cost of replacing that shelf with a new one. Approx $220
- If your work damages the interior of the kiln, you are required to pay a fine based on the severity of the damage to be determined by the manager.
- BRT clay users – a biscuit MUST be used under your items. No exceptions.
We take no responsibility for damaged/broken items. While we are extremely careful with your items, ceramics is a fickle beast!
All items must be 100% dry before dropping off for firing.
No – I do not glaze items for you but you can purchase stoneware glaze instore.

Testimonials:
“I fired my bisque (1000c) and mid-fire glaze (1200c) at Elizabeth’s studio. I could not have been any happier with the results and how easy the process was! Elizabeth was very flexible and accommodating to my changing schedule and very tight deadlines. I packed the kiln myself and chose one of proposed firing programs on offer. Elizabeth messaged me with updates along the way and even sent a little kiln opening video! Elizabeth is professional, easy to communicate with and just really lovely. I’d happily recommend her firing service!”

“I have fired my work in Elizabeth’s kiln. The process was so easy and I was left to unload and pack whilst Elizabeth was working. I packed my bisque firing how I wanted and if you have experience packing and firing it is a great way to get a kiln load done. A variety of programs were offered. I even got text updates on finishing times and a photo to show that all fired well. Flexibility in drop off and pick up times due to work commitments was very helpful. Can happily recommend.”
